Chapter 19: Frank Ernest Eggleton (b.1875 d.1930)

Frank Ernest learned blacksmithing as an apprentice in Cheltenham, then worked as a blacksmith in the Northfield and Kings Norton areas. At that time both Northfield and Kings Norton were still rural villages to the southwest of the rapidly growing city of Birmingham. Frank married Clara Alice Restall in Cheltenham, but all their children were born in the Kings Norton/Northfield area.

The two oldest daughters, neither of whom married, and oldest son, all worked for Cadbury’s at Bourneville. The youngest son had a DIY shop in Northfield. All of the siblings were mentioned in Elizabeth Mary’s, their maiden aunt’s, will. All of the siblings were mentioned in the will of their maiden aunt, Elizabeth Mary.
